Willis Kimbel’s new Skate Shop and SOUNDBOKS Pro Model Speaker

Professional skateboarder Willis Kimbel, a prominent member of the Portland skating community, has planted his flag in his community with the launch of his own skate shop, Rip’s Co. Whether exploring Oregon’s nature, shredding at Burnside or skating a backyard pool, you’ll always find him with his SOUNDBOKS 4 (what a beast of a speaker!). Peep the video below, Willis is really hiking with that thing on his back! Peep Chris Russell stick an invert on it too!

„Kimbel has always been known as the guy responsible for the music. After spending years touring the world on his board, experiencing new cultures, and shredding with the Portland skate community, music has become a constant way for Kimbel to connect with people and have fun.“

„His SOUNDBOKS speaker has allowed him to do just that, creating thousands of moments alongside others. When turning his favorite Bluetooth speaker on, he can witness excellent connections, lifelong friendships, and core memories. This is one of the big reasons he chose SOUNDBOKS over other speakers. Having experienced firsthand how they draw people in and shock them, Willis knew he could be responsible for countless good times.

Because Willis is always on the road, he also needs a speaker that can withstand countless situations. Whether in nature, shredding on his board, at the skate shop, or hanging out with the homies, Willis needs a speaker like the SOUNDBOKS, where the vibes are going all day long.“

Check out Willis wailing on guitar in the SOUNDBOKS clip. Is it waterproof? From the speaker’s website description: „Say hello to our not-so-little friend.

The SOUNDBOKS 4 is really loud. Too loud to describe, to be honest. Beyond its insane volume, it sounds so full and crystal clear that you’ll hear your favorite songs like never before.

Built to handle the realities of any party, its stocky frame is splashproof and very durable. No bump or drop will stop it from doing its thing. The grill also pops off quicker than ever, allowing you to customize in your own style.

It’s super simple to use, too. Bluetooth makes it quick to set up, connecting with other SOUNDBOKS is no problem, and the swappable battery has 40 hours of playtime.“

Check the South Africa tour we did with Willis as a standout ripper:

New Arrivals: Krooked’s Second Fall Drop Is Hitting Skate Shops Now

DLXSF recently hopped on Instagram teasing Krooked’s second Fall drop and let me just say, it’s stacked with bangers! Get hyped on some rad new apparel items and decks from Gonz, Barbee, Knox, Manderson, Una, Gottwig, Worrest, Cromer, Cernicky and Sandoval. Swipe through and get a closer look below:

Aside from the new pro model graphics, Krooked also has multiple planks with their Easy Rider concave in the mix as well. Honestly, stamp those classic Krooked eyes on anything and consider me a fan. At the same time, basically all Krooked graphics will simply never get old, as far as I’m concerned. No debate.

Head down to your local skate shop and see this new drop in person. These planks and apparel should be blessing board walls and squeaky racks as I write this. At the very least, let this be a reminder as to just how stacked the Krooked team seriously is. Not even playing favorites, either, but the Una Farrar and Tom Knox graphics look so rad. They’re all solid, but I really like those.

The holidays are upon us! While we can all expect plenty of other drops from Krooked and all the rad brands at DLX, you should still act fast and get these boards while the getting is good. I know from personal experience that Krooked planks sail off the board walls at shops across the country, so if you have your eyes on any of these, get there while you can.

Shoutout to Gonz and the powers that be at Krooked for keeping it real season after season. The stoke is real.

Look: Lakai Teases New Public Enemy Capsule Hitting Shops Now

The new Lakai x Public Enemy collection is hitting skate shops nationwide as you read this. They’ve been teasing some of the gear for a few months and it’s finally here! The capsule includes shoes, slippers, apparel, and some unique accessories (like a mini baseball bat) that any skateboarding Public Enemy fan will love.

Lakai recently offered another sneak peek of a few items (see below), but to see the full capsule, you’ll need to visit your local skate shop!

//platform.instagram.com/en_US/embeds.js

As far as shoes, the Cambridge, Telford Low, Owen Vulc and Owen Slipper all got the Public Enemy treatment, and to accompany them, a few tees, socks, hoody, jacket, beanie and accessories—including a sticker pack, a slip mat for turntables, and as mentioned, a mini baseball bat—round out the capsule perfectly.

Seeing Rick and Mike rocking the tee and hoody in the post above got me fired up on this new collection in itself, this is one of those link ups that just make sense. No stranger to collaborating with a wide range of brands, musicians, artists—you name it—Lakai continues to keep things fun, interesting and perfectly nostalgic with drops like this.

I wish I could show you more right now, but like I said, you need to hit up your local shop and see if they have it first! If you can’t, well, I’m sure Lakai will have the collection up on their website soon enough. In the meantime, plenty of online retailers already have the items available if you’re stuck in this crazy digital age. Whatever works.

Whether you’re a Public Enemy fan, a Lakai fan, or both, this collection is definitely calling your name. Don’t let the subtle branding fool you, though! The attention to detail on all the items is something to admire. Simply put—it all looks dope.

What’re you waiting for? Hit your local and see if they have it yet.

Last Resort AB Drops ‚Doomed From the Jump‘ Outtakes and Bonus Clips

Last Resort AB just uploded some attempts, makes, heartbreaks and unseen clips from their latest video, ‚Doomed From the Jump‘ on their YouTube channel for us all to enjoy. This is the good stuff! Take a look:

The gang’s all here! Join Chris Milic, Jesse Alba, Nick Rios, Cruise Mosberg, David Stenström, Paul Grund, Dane Brady, Aaron Loreth, and Frankie Decker as they let us be a fly on the wall during some of the heated sessions that went into making the video. Honestly, I might have enjoyed this more than the video itself. Love me some raw clips and behind-the-scenes action.

Clips like this remind us all just how much blood, sweat and effort go into making these videos and securing these clips. So many battles. So many slams. So many close-calls. All for a few seconds of riding away! Never gets old.

But I think the icing on the cake is all the hype these sessions provide. We all know the feeling. The only thing better than landing a trick you’ve been battling is seeing your homies do the same thing. The streets will always provide. And the never-ending war between tricks and terrain continues.

Shoutout to the dudes behind the lens as well. They’re in the trenches all the same and get a front row seat to these epic moments. Filmed by: Daniel Dent, Jon Colyer, Geoff Brown, Benny Maglinao, Kris Burkhardt and Jesse Alba
