Look: Zion Wright’s Raw Clips From ‚GODSPEED‘ Just Dropped

Davonte Jolly recently uploaded just over 11 minutes of raw Zion Wright clips from the GODSPEED era, and let me just say, they’re straight up bonkers. Jolly rolls with some of the heaviest skateboarders in the game, and we all know Zion is built different… but a little reminder like this never hurts. Settle in. Press play. Get stoked.

Reflecting on this epic project, Jolly mentioned, „Zion was the first person I got a clip with for Godspeed when it was just an idea. Extremely proud of his part in the film and grateful he wanted all his footage to go towards my first film instead of letting sponsors rob it from us like they usually try to do haha.“

It’s easy to forget that Zion Wright is such an all-terrain killer. He’ll conquer the heaviest kinkers, 540 on a vert ramp, rip around the tightest bowls and transition… and that list goes on. Safe to say, skateboarding is in good hands with dudes like Zion.

His part in GODSPEED was one of my favorites, no debate. But I’ll always appreciate some raw clips all the same. These are the moments that make up the videos we all love so much, and we often forget just how much effort goes into these quick two-to-three second clips!

If you haven’t seen GODSPEED, you should tap the link below. The entire video still holds up to this day. In fact, it’s almost hard to believe it dropped all the way back in 2020!

Aside from the skaters, Davonte Jolly has stayed busy behind the lens all the same, and quite frankly, I’d expect nothing less. His talent speaks for itself but his drive is really something to admire.

Again, if you haven’t seen GODSPEED, add it to your to-do list today. But don’t forget to watch these ripping Zion Wright clips first!

The SK8MAFIA Squad Comes Out Swinging in ‚SK8MAFIA PROMO 2024‘

Happy Thanksgiving y’all! While you’re stuffing your faces with all that good-good today, you might as well throw on the new SK8MAFIA video to add a little stoke to your Turkey Day session! Just dropped today. Enjoy:

All your favorite Mafia dudes are in the mix. Masaki Hongo, Brandon Turner, Stephen Lawyer, Alex Willms, Dan Connelly, Javier Sarmiento, Tyler Surrey, Wes Kremer, TJ Rogers and Alexis Ramirez all brought their best, but really, what else would you expect? Can’t keep these dudes out the streets!

From start to finish, the vibes are super high. The squad provides, the soundtrack is on point and you just can’t help but feel like you’re sort of there on some of the sessions.

Masaki Hongo kicks things off with a bang, and the rest of the squad keeps the energy high, leading up to Alexis Ramirez, who closes the curtains with an absolutely bangin‘ part! Alexis has been on a tear this year. He’s just so damn low key, though! I think people sort of forget just how insane he truly is on the board.

Don’t trip—after this part, no one will forget.

That said, I love me some Wes and Tyler footage. Stephen Lawyer is still constantly blowing our minds. No one is ever mad at some fresh Brandon Turner clips—dude is aging like fine wine! TJ fits into the squad like a glove and of course, Willms, Connelly, and Sarmiento bring something special to the table all the same.

Get the squad together, put it on the big screen, and enjoy those Thanksgiving sessions! SK8-MA-FIA! Nice work, dudes.

Todd Francis Talks Early Antihero Days and More on Living Proof Radio

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the man behind the truly iconic Antihero Skateboards ‚Eagle‘ graphic, Todd Francis. Beyond his contributions to skateboarding, Todd is an absolute legend in the art world, just in general. I’m proud to say I’ve always been a fan of his work. And although I pretty much have to mention the Eagle, I’m barely scratching the surface here.

Always humorous, always thought-provoking, edgy, raw, the dude just has one of those rare minds. Living Proof Radio recently caught up with Todd to discuss a variety of topics, but I’ll just say, when you get a chance to hear from a dude like this… you should tune in. Trust me. Press play and enjoy:

„Todd Francis is a renowned artist, perhaps best known for creating the Anti-Hero Skateboards eagle logo, one of the most recognized symbols in skateboarding. His work often combines humor, social commentary, and a gritty aesthetic, resonating deeply with skaters who embrace skateboarding as a countercultural expression,“ Living Proof mentions.

„The Anti-Hero eagle logo, designed by Todd Francis, encapsulates the brand’s identity: raw, uncompromising, and steeped in skateboarding’s punk ethos. The design is simple yet powerful, featuring a fierce eagle clutching a ribbon with the brand name. The eagle logo is instantly recognizable, even beyond skateboarding.“

Todd has seen Antihero unfold since the early, early days and as he talks about in this episode, the dude clearly still has so much gas in the tank. Between him, Julien Stranger, Cardiel and the entire 18 squad, I can only imagine how fun some of these conversations must be when planning graphics and really anything they do.

I love the history lesson we get here, too. Honestly, I could listen to these stories for days! There aren’t many other brands out there who have kept it as real as Antihero over the decades. They have never faked the funk and continue to care about the brand in such a genuine, admirable way.

Anyways, I’m not gonna spoil anything here, because I genuinely think you should tune in and listen to this entire hour. I guarantee you’ll be wanting more. I sure as hell do.

Todd’s art has left a lasting impact on skateboarding culture, one that is honestly almost hard to fathom. Shoutout to Todd, Antihero and all the real ones who care about keeping it real and staying true to their ethos. Go set up an Eagle board!

Adidas Debuts Momiji Nashiya’s Highly-Anticipated First Video Part ‚MOMIJI‘

Ladies and gentlemen, Momiji Nashiya has officially entered the building!

„Filmed over 3 years at iconic spots around the world, Momiji Nashiya makes her highly anticipated debut with adidas with her first full-length part,“ adidas wrote as the caption of the video. Rightfully tacking on, „Enjoy.“ What else can we say? Settle in and enjoy.

Momiji’s taste for spots, trick selection and casual style is truly unmatched. There were so many rad little surprises peppered into this part! A little something for every single one of us to not just enjoy, but find some inspiration in all the same.

What I love the most about this part is that Momiji doesn’t spare a single second! It starts with a bang and only picks up from there. And who on earth could hate a track like this? Extra points for having the skating and music selection go so well together.

Also, am I tripping or did this part sort of just come outta nowhere? I love when that happens. As far as first official full video parts are concerned, I’d say she truly outdid herself here. To say I’m impressed simply wouldn’t be saying enough. The adidas squad certainly knows how to pick em!

Should we run up a few quick facts? She can effortlessly piece together a line. Boom. She knows how to stack some proper single clips. Check. And again, she takes her deep bag of tricks to so many rad spots. What else do you need?

And as always, the filming and editing compliment the skating perfectly. Mulhern is a beast behind the lens and certainly knows how to cut up a proper clip. This part is a great example of just that.

Stoked to see Momiji getting the shine she deserves! Killed it.
