SK8MAFIA Teases 2024 Promo Video Ahead of Thanksgiving Release

If there’s one squad you can’t keep out the streets, it’s SK8MAFIA. They recently hopped on Instagram teasing their new „SK8MAFIA PROMO 2024“ video that’s set to hit their YouTube November 28th and by the looks of it, we can expect some absolute bangers from Wes, Tyler, Alexis, TJ and the rest of the crew. Take a look:

Sk8mafia videos always come with a flavor of their own and there’s no denying the team—and brand as a whole—has always done things their own way.

From OGs like Brandon Turner and Javier Sarmiento to fan favorites like Wes, Tyler and Alexis, all the way to hungry up-and-comers (and new additions) like Alex Willms and TJ Rogers, the Mafia team is as stacked as ever. Point being—this promo is bound to be an absolute banger!

The teaser has a super classic skate video feel to it. Makes, bails, close calls, cops, hijinx and whatever else that falls in between. For skaters, by skaters, I love that these dudes are still just out there making „homie videos“ as their straight up brand promos! I mean, it’s nothing new, but I feel like these days it’s a bit more few and far between.

As a San Diego local, I almost have to give respect to the brand… but in fairness, that admiration is hardly forced. We’ve all thrown up the SM from time to time and at the end of the day, their energy is always contagious. I’m stoked to see what they’ve all been working on this year!

Well, like I said, the video is hitting their YouTube on Thanksgiving. I know most folks sit around and watch football or whatever, but maybe you can toss this one on with the fam with a belly full Turkey Day fixins! Whatever you wanna do. But just know it’ll be there! If you haven’t tapped play on the teaser yet, get there.

Look: Adidas Drops Bold New Custom-Crafted Pro Shell ADV by Niels Bennett

Adidas skateboarding recently dropped a new Pro Shell ADV by Niels Bennett, offering “a nod to the past, with a focus on the future.”

These shoes are clean and bold at first glance, and we’re stoked to see Niels getting the shine he deserves with this special drop. Swipe through for some ripping clips from Niels and a closer look at the kicks below:

„Niels’ Pro Shell ADV features refined design lines with custom three-stripes running down to the outsole, a top grain nubuck leather upper with reinforced stitching in high abrasion areas, and, of course, the Pro Shell’s signature lock-in lace strap and iconic rubber shell toe,“ adidas mentions in the caption. „A nod to the past with a focus on the future. The custom-crafted Pro Shell ADV by Niels Bennett is available now.“

You really get the best of both worlds with these—style and function. The iconic rubber shell toe from adidas is truly timeless, but these are built with skateboarders and skateboarding in mind. Give ‘em your worst! Because these kicks look tough as nails.

This colorway is super sick, too. I’m backing all the different shades of brown. Clean and subtle with some impressive attention to detail all the same. That strap is dope! And don’t quote me, but we can probably expect a few other colorways to drop next year. Either way—nailed it!

Head down to your local skate shop and slide your foot into a pair of Niels‘ new shoes—available now. If your local doesn’t have them for some reason, you can always hit the Three Stripes website and secure a pair there.

Congrats again to Niels! And big ups to adidas for making this happen. Good stuff all around. Can we expect a full video to accompany the drop? Hopefully! But for now, enjoy the clips and the kicks above.

Chocolate Celebrates 30 Years with Limited Gear for Skate Shops Across the Globe

Chocolate is one of those brands in skateboarding that you just can’t help but love. Their team has always been stacked, their gear is always clean and rad, and simply put, they’ve always come correct—for three decades now!

Their 30-year celebration continues, and in true Chocolate fashion, they’re giving back to the shops, communities and cities who have supported them all these years in a really cool way. Take a look:

„2024 marks #30ChocolateYears, and we’re flipping the script to celebrate!“ Chocolate announced on Instagram recently. „A huge shoutout to all the cities, shops, and communities that have been part of the ride – we couldn’t have made it this far without you.“

These are the types of things that I can really get behind, you know? And really, where would any brand be without the support of local scenes, core skate shops and all the skateboarding enthusiasts across the globe? Probably not 30 years deep! That’s for sure.

Adding to it all, they also mentioned, „Before Evan Hecox crafted the iconic Chunk logo, Andy Jenkins hand-drew Chocolate’s first Script. Now, for our 30th, we’ve flipped that Script for over 90 cities across the globe, showing love to the places that have supported us from the start.“

I’ve always been a fan of Chocolate, and as someone who tirelessly preaches about supporting local skate shops, this whole concept simply has me fired up. And I have to imagine all the shops and communities involved feel the same way.

If you haven’t yet, swipe through some of the IG posts that are peppered in here for a small taste of some of the shops and cities involved.

All the gear is available exclusively at YOUR local skate shop now. How much easier can they make it to go support this holiday season!?

Coast to coast, country to country, stuff like this is what skateboarding is all about, if you ask me. Shoutout to the entire Chocolate squad—from the team to the folks charging behind the scenes—and of course, all the shops, communities, scenes and skateboarders who keep the fire burning!
