14 Year Old Coco Yoshizawa Wins Olympic Gold in Women’s Skateboard Street

Women’s Skateboard Street today in Paris was a heated battle under the Parisienne sun–a far cry from yesterday’s rain-out. At the end of the finals, it was a group of teenagers holding medals. Japan’s Coco Yoshizawa took the Gold, followed by Liz Akama with Silver, and Rayssa Leal with Bronze.

Believe it or not, the average podium age is 15–feel old yet?

Coco put down a wild bigspin flip to frontside boardslide early on to put on top with points. After the deal had been sealed, she still had one more attempt, the „victory lap,“ and she laid down a perfect frontside hurricane to straight down the big rail. Congrats Coco, we’ll be seeing you in many more Olympic Games to come.

Mens Olympic Street Skateboarding Rained Out In Paris

Not what you’d expect to hear from the Summer Games in Paris, but yesterday Mens Street Skateboarding got rained out in Paris, France. The rain even cancelled a practice day on Friday. The event has since been rescheduled to Monday, July 29.

Some of the competing pros like Chris Joslin and Tom Schaar did find some dry ‚crete to practice on (peep John Nicholson’s IG stories).

We’ll be tuning in tomorrow to see who takes home Street medals.

Real’s New Team Montage ‚Roll Call‘ Is a Heartfelt Tribute to James Hardy

REAL just dropped a new team montage dedicated to the one and only, James Hardy. It’s a heartfelt clip that definitely hits hard. Whether you knew James personally or were inspired by his skating, he is sorely missed. A true gem.

Aside from the always-ripping Hardy clips, the montage features: Ishod Wair, Nicole Hause, Dennis Busenitz, Jimmy Wilkins, Toby Ryan, Chima Ferguson, Mason Silva, Patrick Praman, Kyle Walker, Christian Henry, Harry Lintell, Zion Wright, Hermann Stene, Hayley Wilson, and Gage Boyle.

REAL says, „We hope it inspires you to get out and roll with your friends“ at the end of the description, and I’ll just say—they nailed it. That’s exactly what I assume all of us will take away from this clip. No need for too many other words. RIP James. We miss you, dude.

Adidas Remasters the Tyshawn and Tyshawn Low in Premium Black Leather

Stylish. Luxurious. Ready to rip? Yes, yes and yes. The remastered adidas Tyshawn and Tyshawn Low in premium black leather (with classic white stripes!) are available now in select skate shops across the globe. Get a closer look below:

As if Tyshawn wasn’t already having one helluva year—I mean, his second adidas signature model just recently dropped—the remastered version of his first pro model is looking solid. TJ and the Three Stripes crew just keep the hits coming.

I will say… we haven’t been smacked in the face with a random viral Tyshawn IG clip in a while now. Hey, beggars can’t be choosers—I get it—but it just makes me wonder if TJ is working on something that we don’t know about? Fingers crossed either way.

Anyways, what do we think? There seems to be a trend right now turning highs and mids back into lows? I’m not complaining, though. Little something for everyone. Grab ‚em if you want ‚em! Remastered kicks like this don’t stick around forever.
