Nike SB Catches Up With Carlos Ribeiro in Latest ‚Medal Madness‘ Installment

Nike SB’s ‚Medal Madness‘ series continues with the one and only Carlos Ribeiro. From his roots in Brazil to modern day Long Beach, Carlos talks about everything from skateboarding to family to getting clips, and, of course, competing on the world’s biggest stage—the Paris Olympics come this July. Dive in:

On and off the board, Carlos has always been one of the best dudes out there. His skill is undeniable, his style and power makes us all envious and he just has a solid head on his shoulders, which is super important. He’s the ultimate rad dad! Always been a fan.

And I mean, let’s be honest, the dude skates better switch than most of us will ever be able to skate regular.

The fact that he was able to dedicate that park in his hometown to his dad is pretty incredible, too. If you were already a fan of his skating, this episode will surely make you admire Carlos even more. Like I said, I’ve always been a fan. This was a great little life update if you ask me. One of the greats!

James Gaehner Tears Through the Bay Area and Beyond in His New Part for Atlas Skate Shop

The first trick in this new part from James Gaehner immediately sets the tone, but everything else that follows will have you fired up and ready for more. Holding it down for Atlas skate shop and the Bay Area scene (with some international trips to Barcelona and Paris peppered in) no spot is safe! Take a look:

James shows us all just how deep his bag of tricks is here—his arsenal is on full display. Some of these clips (and really just his spot selection in general) are pretty wild, in all the best ways. This dude just looks good on his board. Simple as that.

How’s that ender!? I think that spot might be one-and-done after this. Heavy. Killed it, James! This was an epic watch.

Patrick Ring’s New Homie Video Offers a Raw Look at Salt Lake City’s Skate Scene

The Salt Lake City scene is alive and well in Patrick Ring’s new homie video, „Type Shit“ with clips from Jake Ilardi, Tyson Bowebank, Nick Hubble and a handful of ripping SLC locals. From (literally) the first trick to the curtain closer and everything in between, this crew set out and handled biz. Check it out:

Salt Lake has spots! Stairs and gaps? Check. Manny pads and ledges? Check. Ditches, curbs, this, that and the other—yes! Check. And this crew took full advantage of all of them. With style and power nonetheless.

Big ups to this crew for keeping the flame lit in Salt Lake. Super impressive.

I’m so stoked that Rowley shared those contest clips, because I’m sure like many of you, they’ve all been tattooed on my brain for decades now. That is some classic Rowley right there, and I fully remember wondering why this specific colorway never existed back then. The nostalgia is all too real!

Rowley joining Toy Machine was one of the biggest plot twists of the year so far, and with the limited release of these iconic shoes, I’m just stoked to be seeing more of this legend on the frontlines right now. He’s always been—and always will be—one of my favs.

As mentioned, the shoes are only available at Labor or laborskateshop.com. They’re super limited and will probably sell out pretty fast… so GTWYC!

New Jersey’s Antics Skate Shop Celebrates Their 2 Year Anniversary With New Video, „Destination Station“

To celebrate their two year anniversary, Antics skate shop out of Haddon Heights, NJ hit us with their new video, „Destination Station“, featuring parts from the team and some backup from their NJ and PA homies alike. From start to finish, this crew delivers! Take a look:

The man behind the lens (and the project as a whole), Ethan Todt, tells us, „My goal was to showcase our small town skate scene in an exciting way. Through new additions to the crew, injuries, and a cold winter, this is what came from a hectic 10 months of filming.“

This is Antics‘ second video and they did not disappoint. It’s extremely well put together, has a total vibe of its own throughout and the soundtrack is a hit. Plus, more importantly, it’s a solid look at their scene and the skaters, supporters and friends that make this shop and community so special.

Things might start out light and fun, but they steadily pick up throughout. Solid stuff from all involved—shot through the lens of Alex’s trusty VX nonetheless! Take a look:
