After a big weekend in Budapest, World Skate just announced the Top 22 men’s and women’s park/street skaters who will be repping their countries at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in July/August. It’s nice to see such a blend of familiar favorites and hungry up-and-comers on each of these lists. Is that Andy Mac!?
Ginwoo, Sora and Yuto continue to blow minds at every street event, but that doesn’t mean Jagger and Nyjah aren’t biting at their heels. And in park, I’m personally always excited to see one of my favs, Gavin Bottger shining on the podium. I’m a big fan of the park event either way, and all these dudes absolutely killed it in Budapest.

It’s no surprise seeing Coco, Liz and Rayssa in the top three for women’s street, either. And the same can be said for Kokona, Arisa and Sakura for park. But I just have to say—fresh off an injury, no less—we should all have our eyes on Sky Brown in Paris! To say her perseverance is admirable just isn’t saying enough.

I’d say everyone on these lists deserves to be there. The road to Paris has been pretty long and intense, but the stage is officially set. Congrats to all the qualifiers. To be where they are right now is no small feat.
