Paul Rodriguez Sits Down With Chad Muska to Talk Brand Building, Business and More

Chad Muska is no stranger to hustle and entrepreneurship, and in case you haven’t noticed, he’s been taking both to new heights in recent years as he continues to build his brand.

Paul Rodriguez—who’s been wearing many hats himself these days—recently sat down with Chad for a deep-dive on brand building, business, and more. Settle in and get ready to be a fly on the wall as these two OGs discuss the side of skating we don’t always get to see.

These old pals have seen it all and done it all, and both continue to keep the fire burning bright inside of them. It’s super inspiring and hearing them talk is always a treat, especially in an environment like this.

Aside from all the talk about business and brand building, hearing Muska briefly tell the story about how he just disappeared on us all a few years ago was super interesting. The dude just packed his bags, left skateboarding and seemed to have fallen off the face of the planet! But in true Muska fashion, it was all part of a bigger plan. And it’s been so rad seeing that plan unravel recently.

Beyond the business and brand-building talk, hearing Muska briefly share the story of how he basically vanished from skateboarding a few years ago was super interesting. The guy literally packed his bags, left skateboarding, and seemed to drop off the face of the Earth!

But, in true Muska fashion, it was all part of a bigger plan. Watching that plan come to life recently has been nothing short of rad. I mean, come on! Who doesn’t love his Dig Doug videos?

He might be alone in solitude out on his farm in Ohio, but the dude isn’t lonely, you know? It’s perfect. To some degree, I think we can all relate to that. Just add it to the list of reasons Muska continues to inspire us all.

I’ve been enjoying these interviews that Paul has been hitting us with. Did you catch him and PJ Ladd talking about meeting Tom Penny for the first time? Super rad. Anyways, Muska will forever be one of the faces on my own personal skateboarding Mount Rushmore. Absolute legend. What on earth will this creative mastermind do next?
